The Sims Online
Have you read about this information in the recent past? If you are a fanatic of The Sims Online then you should have. You may have read something about The Sims Online being available for free play instead of the current monthly subscription that they have imposed for you to be able to play the game. Sims Online game players would be more than happy to know when would this take place. But what is the catch here?
To give you a brief history. The Sims Online have been available for several years now, and the reason for the changes is that it hasn’t been earning that much profit for the real business. The Sims Online was launched together with a certain game that turned out to be more popular than it is which is called Second Life. It turns out to be that Second life took the challenge and made it to the market where The Sims online wasn’t able to catch up.
Around five years ago the Sims Online had over than a hundred thousand subscriptions that are active which made it rank higher than any other online games available in the market. What happened is that there was a down turn when it comes to the number of subscribers and it decreased in numbers by the end of the year which is for about forty thousand subscribers left. Because of this, officials turned their back on the online version of Sims until hackers took advantage of it.
Then here comes the hackers and other developers who thought of making the Sims Online game to be amenable to intrude. There were even instances wherein the virtual money which the games uses for determining game advances were sold on an online auction. With the intrusions that have emerged, tricks and cheats were already available for online players to take advantage of.
Because of this, Sims Online will be undergoing extensive and drastic changes for it to regain its image and improve. There would be new explorations as well as incapacitating the cheats that involves virtual money. It would then be a new beginning for this online game and that would be for the better.
