ipad Review CNET Says What?

ipad Review CNET.com has reviewed the Apple iPad. It sounded as though cnet had mixed feelings about the new Ipad Gizmo.

In the Cnet review the iPad is referred to as an “iPod Touch with glandular problems” and calls the name iPad a “cringe-worthy name”. Some of the other negatives from the CNET review, includs the “in between” size of the Apple iPad. Bigger than an iPod and smaller than a lap top. He noted that some people will find it tiresome to hold and use the iPad over lengthy periods. The author of the review, also noted that the tricky pricing of the iPad will be a deal breaker for some potential iPad users.

The base Ipad model will have 16GB of storage and retail for $499. For more storage in the Ipad Gizmo  you can choose the 32GB model for $599 or the 64GB model for $699. These models will be wifi capable. Their will be a line of Apple iPads with 3G wireless data support that will be available in May, but it will cost $130 extra for each respective model (i.e., $629, $729, and $829). If you go the Ipad 3G route, you will also need to cough up for an additional data plan from AT&T (with no contract), which will setting you back another $14.99 a month for 250MB of data, or $29 for “unlimited” usage.

On the positive side of the ipad Review from CNET, is the ability to download and read e-books. The app for the e-books is easy to use and has a bookshelf look. The CNET review lists other strengths of the iPad as: casual Web browsing, photo management, calendar, and e-mail capabilities.
