The LG Projector Phone was recently unveiled and will be hitting the market through AT&T. The LG eXpo is the LG phone with projector. I saw my first commercial today on the LG Projector Phone and was thinking no way just as the characters did on the ad.

This new LG Projector Phone will be running on Windows Mobile 6.5 and has the S-Class interface overlayed on to it. You may be asking just how does this LG Phone become a projector? Well I’m glad you ask because we have the answer with the LG Projector Phone Video below!

This smartphone from LG powered by a Qualcomm 1-GHz processor that  we are assuming is the Snapdragon chipset because LG has not said from what I can tell.

Oogle the google phone Nexus One pic.

Finally we get to see the Google phone although I see no big deal about the look or the phone and its functions.

As you can see by the photos (of the Google Phone Nexus One), the design of the device is largely similar to those we’ve seen, but the graphic on back is slightly different, and that piece of tape is covering a QR code (how very Google of them). Just like we’ve heard before, the updated OS features new 3D elements to the app tray, as well as an extended amount of homescreens, though it looks like the lock screen / mute is the same as in Android 2.0.1. Additionally, there’s now a new grid icon at the bottom of the homescreen, which when pressed brings up a webOS card-style preview of all homescreen pages — which raises some interesting possibilities. Apparently there’s been a new software update for the device pushed tonight, and sure enough the phone is identified as the Nexus One on the system info page. Quite clearly this device is running on T-Mobile, and is also using WiFi, so there’s two other questions you’ve got answers to. The phone also appears to come loaded up with Google Navigation (a bit of a no-brainer) and the brand-spanking-new Google Goggles. Hardware wise, the Nexus does look incredibly thin and sleek, and while there’s not a slew of buttons (those four up front are clearly touch sensitive), there is a dedicated volume rocker along the side. Oh, and note this… no HTC logo anywhere to be found. We’ll update the post as / if we get more info, but for now, feast your eyes on the gallery below!

Update: One item of interest. In the packaging there’s a quick start guide which points users to a “questions” page at google.com/phone/support. The page is a dead end right now, but it certainly gets an eyebrow raise from us. If there is a real Google Phone in the offing, that seems a likely landing page for support.

Verizon Droid Does Eris just having some fun. The title should read Verizon Droid Eris

Verizon is not being secretive about which Android phone it wants people to get excited over this week. Which is the Motorola DROID but wait there’s another Droid model that will be available the same time but with little fanfare: It is the HTC’s DROID ERIS or if you prefer the Verizon Droid Eris. The Eris phone is basically Verizon’s custom remix of the Hero like waht is found on Sprint and various GSM carriers, 3.2-inch capacitive display, featuring a 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, 3.5mm headphone jack, and microSD expansion up to 16GB. You can check the Droid Eris out in your local store starting Friday for $99.99 on contract after a $100 mail-in rebate.

Why is the Verizon Storm in the news today well I think it was inevitable Verizon would officially announced the arrival of the BlackBerry Storm2 smartphone. I don’t know why Verizon Wireless didn’t introduce the handset sooner, but I bet now as RIM’s second-gen Storm will be here on October 28th. The Verizon Storm  is coming on that date for what is reported to be $179.99 after $100 MIR with the standard two-year service plan agreement.

Droid Does: I think we all knew Verizon  would sooner or later be throwing caution to the wind in an effort to convince uncommitted smartphone purchasers in the direction towards Big Red, and it looking like in November Motorola Droid will be VZW’s anti-iPhone. The commercial, which started tonight and is a 30 second clip that begins by making fun of  Apple’s cute music and iconic font usually seen in iPhone plugs. It list a number of things that the iPhone can’t do, and then abruptly goes into tease mode by flashing glimpses of a robot controlled future and a tag line that simply states: “Droid Does.” No shots of the actual Motorola Droid are shown, but a dedicated teaser  has already been erected. We’re told that the phone will feature Android 2.0 and a 5 megapixel camera. At this point, I’d say the gloves are most definitely off.

I really liked the Droid  Does commercial, and I hope that the Verizon Droid commercial might push Apple into improving their iPhone and make it a bit more open!

But then again I am a little of disappointed about this Droid commercial because I take it to mean that the iPhone will not be coming to Verizon any time soon. Anyone else looking forward to the Verizon Droid Release? It may just  have what it takes to be an iPhone killer.

The Droid Release date should be October 30 if reports are correct.

AT&T iPhone MMS Launched Today the Twittersphere reports, AT&T has begun turning the switch on MMS around the U.S. today. Sources report that AT&T will be sending text messages, beginning at 10 A.M. EST today, to notify its customers when MMS service is available for use.

It seems that the popularity of the iphone game apps caught the industry by surprise and that it part of what is going on at Game Developers Conference in Austin Tx. I am also hearing that the iphone game apps cost will be going up in the near future.

The Game Developers Conference (GDC) Austin is set to return to the Austin Convention Center in Austin Texas in September. When it does, the even will include the inaugural iPhone Games Summit, offering a focus for iPhone and iPod touch game developers. GDC Austin takes place from September 15 – 18, 2009.

GDC Austin, presented by Think Services, is an offshoot of the “main” GDC that happens in San Francisco, Calif. It gathers together game developers who attend two day Game Writers and Game Audio summits. New to the track this year is iPhone games and the Independent Games Summit, a carryover from the San Francisco event. Three days of main conference content help developers share best practices and learn more about “connected” games, online games, virtual worlds and social networking game play.

The iPhone Games Summit highlights the business of iPhone game development, along with marketing and “key design tenets” behind successful iPhone games. Topics range from app optimization and touch interface lessons, iPhone OS 3.0 tips, Objective-C tips and other information — Think Services will announce sessions in early July.
